Get the Job You Want

Every one starts the New Year with every good intention of doing something new or changing their lives. This is always easier said than done and without support good intentions can quickly disappear. For many people January is the time to think about their working life, looking for a job or simply finding greater satisfaction in what they do.

This is why we have placed such great emphasis on basic skills and job search skills at The Terrace.  We run a number of courses to achieve this goal. If you need help with your English and Maths, then we are working with Doncaster College to provide accredited training in literacy and numeracy.

We are also pleased to be working with Lynda Swinden. Lynda is an experienced and respected specialist in job search training. Lynda provides a number of services at The Terrace:

CV Workshops – want help in writing an effective CV, then these one to one workshops will do the trick;Job Interview Skills – learn what it is employers expect from an interview and how you can present yourself at your best;Self-employment – looking to set up your own business? Then this course will provide you with the knowledge and support you need

These courses are part of the learning experiences that we offer at The Terrace. We are sending out packs with full details of all our courses to local venues such as libraries and community centres. Please keep an eye out for one or give us a call on 01709 866466 for further details.
