How To Become a Member of CDDT

Role of CDDT Members

CDDT is an independent voluntary sector organisation and a not for private profit making Company Limited by Guarantee. The Members are people who ‘own’ CDDT. In practice this involves supporting the work of the Trust, as described below, attending and voting at Annual General Meetings and electing Members to the Management Committee/Board of Directors (only members may stand for election as a Director). The liability of Members is limited to £5. There is no annual subscription fee.

Type of Membership

You can become a Member either as an individual or a group. Individual and group Members have the same rights and powers under CDDT’s Memorandum & Articles of Association. Group membership is for Corporate Bodies and Associations who must nominate someone to represent their organisation. The nominated person cannot send a deputy in their place or vote by proxy.

Commitment

To become a Member of CDDT we ask you to:

1. Support CDDT’s commitment to the social, economic and environmental regeneration of Conisbrough and Denaby

Examples of support provided by Members include:

Opportunities for partnership on projects and related funding bidsOpportunities to reach a new client group or develop new servicesPractical support i.e. contacts, accommodation use, discounted goods/services etc. to assist CDDT achieve its aims and objectives

2. Familiarise yourself with CDDT’s Memorandum & Articles of Association (These can be inspected on request at CDDT’s office)
